All Eyes on Hurricane Irma

All eyes are on the tropics as Central Florida watches the path of Hurricane Irma.  While it's still too early to tel if it's heading our way, now is the time to prepare.
WUCF is part of the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network, bring you the latest weather information online.  
We urge you to listen to emergency officials. If you are told to evacuate, please do so.  
Safety is the number one priority.
We've put together some resources for you and your family during this time.
WUCF plans to bring you emergency information as it happens from Florida officials, as well as county-by-county information. Stay tuned to WUCF TV.



1) Stay up-to-date on the latest weather at http://wucftv.org/stormcenter. The FPREN Storm Center features an interactive map and frequent updates from meteorologist Jeff Huffman.
2) Follow WUCF on Facebook and/or Twitter.  
We are posting Central Florida updates for Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia as they come in.
3) Download Florida Storms. This app from FPREN is the only weather app built just for Florida. Discover if you're in a hurricane evacuation zone, find the easiest route to escape potential harm, and much more. Florida Storms is available for Apple and Android devices.
4) Don't forget about the kids. We have a number of activities and videos to help children deal with emergency situations.
