ARTISODES on WUCF TV features the best of Central Florida

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

This week on WUCF Artisodes, take a look back at some of the most original and memorable art and artists Central Florida has to offer.

Orlando’s Mike Nuriel has an unusual talent of turning old watch parts into unique art objects.  But it’s not just a creative passion.  Mike credits art with helping save his life.

Then, meet cartoonist Mike Peters.  His work is seen daily in over 800 newspapers worldwide.  The Orlando-based artist says a lifetime of real world experiences take shape each day in his editorials and in the canine antics of “Mother Goose and Grimm.”

Central Florida’s Chris Scala is a sculptor with an unusual perspective on his art.  See how he expresses his creativity through many different forms, from stone to underwater art.

Looking for fire dancers? Radiant Illusions has a flare for entertaining their audiences around Central Florida.  This troupe combines dance and fire for an unforgettable experience.

Finally, meet Andrew Spear, a muralist who’s taking doodling to a whole new level.  Now he’s helping beautify Central Florida communities, one mural at a time.

WUCF Artisodes airs each Thursday on WUCF TV at 8 p.m.
