Boston Marathon bombing victim Heather Abbott sits down with Global Perspectives
It's been two years since the bombing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Sunday on Global Perspectives, host John Bersia sits down with Boston Marathon bombing survivor, Heather Abbott. Abbott says part of healing is giving back, which is why she is launching a foundation to help other amputees.
"When I look back I'm kind of surprised at how my emotional recovery has been," said Abbott. "I think initially I was so focused on the physical recovery. It took me almost a year to really understand all the details of what happened that day and the days following the bombing. But I've met so many interesting people along the way that have helped me."
‘Global Perspectives’ airs each Sunday on WUCF TV at 9:30 a.m.
