Painting Transforms Lives on This Week's WUCF Artisodes

Last Updated by Jennifer Cook on

Winter Park’s Cheri Riechers was quite a name in the corporate world.  But instead of continuing to climb the corporate ladder, she traded her suits for paintbrushes.  On this week’s WUCF Artisodes, meet the now well-known artist who brings a passion for painting to canvases around the world.

“I was in my forty’s and I thought ‘If I don’t do it now I’m never going to do it,’” said Riechers.  “And I think when you are given a God-given talent that you at least need to attempt to try it.”

Along with working on her personal art projects, Riechers works with the non-profit, Kids Beating Cancer.  Children are learning more about art while expressing themselves in a whole new way.

As part of WUCF’s American Graduate initiative, WUCF Artisodes proudly honors, Kenneth Rodriguez.  He’s a student at University High School with a passion for drawing and our Student Artist of the Week
