Posted by Jennifer Cook on

Downton Abbey returns to WUCF for its sixth and final season on January 3, 2016.  For fans who just can’t wait, WUCF TV will host a number of advanced premiere screenings across the area.

“We are planning four events across Central Florida, more than we have ever done in one week,” said Polly Anderson, WUCF General Manager.  “WUCF’s dedicated Downton Abbey fans love to come dressed up in their costumes and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the events this year!”

The WUCF screenings are free and open to the public, however event registration is required.  To register visit: http://wucftv.org/downtonabbey

A runaway hit since it debuted on PBS in 2011, “Downton Abbey”—a Carnival/MASTERPIECE co-production—is widely credited with reigniting American viewers’ passion for British drama. It is the top PBS drama of all time, the most popular series in MASTERPIECE’s 44-year history, and one of the most-watched dramas on American television, frequently beating the competition in its Sunday night time slot.
