WUCF ARTISODES highlights Central Florida mural artist, Boy Kong

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

On this week’s edition of WUCF Artisodes, meet Boy Kong, an artist who turns his illustrations into vibrant creations.

Boy Kong is a young artist from Apopka who makes abstract images for clothing, portraits, and murals around the city of Orlando.

“When it comes to murals and stuff, I want to paint something, but I want to make it a detour in somebody’s day. I just want people to drive and then they’re like, ‘oh a mural, what is this?’” says Kong.  “Everybody has a special talent and I know everybody could bring something to the table.  Me adding art to the world or doing exhibitions and stuff like that; that’s what I have to bring to the table.”

WUCF Artisodes airs each Thursday on WUCF TV at 8 p.m.
