WUCF ARTISODES showcases art with a wild side

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

On this week’s edition of WUCF Artisodes, meet Stephen Koury, who creates paintings that bring the jungle to life.

Koury originally explored multiple careers, but once he began exploring art, he knew he found his passion.  Koury’s vibrant and lively paintings are an animal lover’s favorite and today he teaches art classes to inspire others to create untamed masterpieces.

“Part of painting is slowing down. I’m not a slow person. I do everything quickly. I have a high energy level, I move a lot,” Koury admits. “That slowing down, taking our time, making sure we listen instead of moving through what she’s gonna say has made me a better artist, has made me a better instructor.”

WUCF Artisodes airs each Thursday on WUCF TV at 8 p.m.
