WUCF Launches Local Music Program

Last Updated by Jennifer Cook on

The blues are coming to Central Florida.  Premiering March 30 on WUCF TV, Sunshine Blues highlights Orlando’s top blues performers and bands.

WUCF introduces you to blues artists like Joe Survival Caruso, who grew up in New Orleans and relocated to DeBary after Hurricane Katrina.  Hear from Beth McKee, a Mississippi native who now spreads her music and passion across Central Florida.  Other artists include 16-year-old David Julia, The Marty Stokes Band, Sybil Gage and her Catahoulas and Galloway & Kelliher.

Sunshine Blues, recorded at venues across Central Florida including the Titusville Playhouse, the Modernism Museum in Mt. Dora and Winter Park’s Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, helps highlight the stories and people that make Central Florida unique.

Sunshine Blues airs Thursdays, beginning March 30 at 8:30 p.m. on WUCF TV.
