WUCF sits down with retired Army Lieutenant General in this week’s Global Perspectives

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

This week on Global Perspectives, host John Bersia sits down with Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, the first female to reach a three-star general rank in the U.S. Army.

Kennedy grew up in with an “Army lifestyle” and by college, decided to follow her father’s footsteps and join. She soon found herself paving her own way, and expanding new boundaries for women in the military. Kennedy shares her experience during her 32 years of service and the role the armed forces play in economic and global issues.

“I think it’s very hard for people to sort out between the hype and the facts,” Kennedy states. “You hear very compelling arguments on every single side, which are more than two for most issues.”

‘Global Perspectives’ airs each Sunday on WUCF TV at 9:30 a.m.
