WUCF TV gets spooky in this month’s ONE

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

WUCF TV’s Emmy Award-winning magazine show, ONE, highlights extraordinary stories of people, places and events all across Central Florida.

This month, ONE travels down the old Florida highways and back roads to the intersection of U.S. 441 and state road 60 in Osceola County. The Desert Inn at Yeehaw Junction was originally an 1880’s trading post for cowboys and lumberman, and later served as a saloon, restaurant, gas station, dance hall…and even a bordello.  Go inside and see what’s being done now.

Living in Florida means a lot of water sports.  And now there’s a new water toy that lets you fly around like Iron Man.  Ride along with those trying out the new flyboard in Winter Park.

The UCF Knights football team recently traveled to Ireland to take on Penn State.  And while the team lost in the last few seconds of the game, some other student athletes won big by helping the community of Dublin.  We’ll take you inside Knights Without Borders and show you the work they left behind.

Finally, in honor of Halloween, the Orlando Science Center is going batty! ONE takes you inside the newest exhibit, “Bats: Myths & Mysteries” where guests can get face-to-face with four species of bats, hear like bats do and more!

ONE premieres Thursday, October 2 at 8:30 p.m.
