WUCF TV nominated for two Emmy Awards
WUCF TV entries were named finalists on Monday in two categories of the 2015 Suncoast Emmy Awards.
WUCF TV received nominations for the following:
- Arts/Entertainment – Program Feature/Segment:
Mike Nuriel Secondhand Choppers
- Education/Schools – Program:
Tangelo Park/Harris Rosen
Both segments were producers by WUCF producer, Buddy Pittman.
“It’s an honor to have our work on behalf of the Central Florida Community recognized by the Suncoast Emmy Awards,” said Polly Anderson, WUCF General Manager. “There are many important stories happening in our local communities and we look forward to further exploring and sharing them.”
The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences coordinates the regional Emmy competition. It is open to stations and other producers of broadcast content from the entire State of Florida; Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Orleans, Louisiana; Mobile, Alabama; Thomasville, Georgia; and Puerto Rico.
Winners will be named at a ceremony in December.
