WUCF TV sits down with the Assistant Secretary of State in this week’s Global Perspectives

Posted by Jennifer Cook on

William Brownfield serves as the Assistant Secretary of State. This week on Global Perspectives, he discusses the U.S. government’s efforts to fight against international drug trafficking.

Ambassador Brownfield heads the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. His team strives to reduce drug crime and gain better control of its effects by updating policy and international guidelines.

“We have learned the hard way that it is impossible for the United States of America to manage international criminal threats if it does not have competent, trained, resourced partners in the countries from which those threats are coming,” Brownfield states.

This week on Global Perspectives, join host John Bersia to learn more about what Brownfield is doing to combat transnational crime.

‘Global Perspectives’ airs each Sunday on WUCF TV at 9:30 a.m.
