Brooklyn Castle POVBrooklyn Castle POVWUCF TV works to educate and engage those living in Central Florida.  In April, WUCF TV hosted a film event and panel discussion at the Orlando Science Center.  The group screened POV’s award-winning Brooklyn Castle, a documentary about an inner city school where the cool kids are the chess team. After the film, community leaders gathered to discuss afterschool programs in Central Florida.

Martha Speaks Reading Buddies

WUCF TV helped provide free books, lessons and other reading resources to elementary classrooms in Orange and Seminole counties as part of the statewide "Martha Speaks Reading Buddies" program, in which students learned new words and how to use them.
