Meet The Helpers

MEET THE HELPERS is a new initiative by WUCF to introduce children to community "helpers" that arise in emergency situations.

Coming in June 2018, WUCF will unveil a toolkit to be shared with public media stations across the country, complete with a video series suitable for on-air, online and social media. The goal is to introduce children to helpers like police officers, emergency room doctors, firefighters and more in a comfortable way during a non-crisis time. That way if/when a tragedy strikes, children will be better prepared to talk to emergency workers.

WUCF is producing three videos per helper. One video is intended to air year-round. The other is intended to be used during a crisis in the community. The third video will be available via PBS LearningMedia highlighting career options.

See examples below. Looking for more information on the project? Send WUCF an email now.
